What a great exhibition the EuropArtFair at the MECC Maastricht was!
First of all, the MECC was an amazing location for the art fair—a beautiful, well-lit venue with a very modern and spacious atmosphere.
The attendance was also superb: around 2,000 art lovers came to the fair. And they had a lot of beautiful and strong art to see. Honestly, I was initially overwhelmed by the quality of the work from the other artists, as it was outstanding.
But the most important thing of all—to me—is meeting, talking, and connecting with the loveliest people.
A returning collector even drove all the way from Knokke to Maastricht, a 3.5-hour drive. This made (and still makes) me feel tremendously grateful and humble.
And of course, not everything went smoothly:
* I received my frame on the day of installation (and the painting was still wet)
* The hanging system was tricky (I didn’t have a hanging ‘saw’ system on all of my paintings).
* I missed printing some labels.
And next time, I might buy reusable art transportation bags for my larger paintings.
Thank you all for sending me your love, luck and your support. It means a lot to me 🫶🏻😘
P.S. on 16 and 17 November I will be at the Nationale Kunstdagen in Gorinchem and - if you want - I can send you free tickets
