Discover a collection of original animal paintings and pet portraits by Dutch artist Roman van Gelder.

Animals have a remarkable ability to connect with us, bringing joy, companionship and unforgettable memories into our lives. Through my paintings, I seek to capture not only their appearance, but also the unique character, expression and personality that make each animal special.

From beloved pets to fascinating wildlife, every artwork celebrates the beauty and individuality of the animal world. Using expressive brushwork, thoughtful compositions and a careful balance of light and colour, I aim to bring each subject to life on canvas.

Whether inspired by the gentle gaze of a pet or the quiet strength of a wild animal, these original paintings reflect my passion for preserving meaningful moments through art.
