Little Jaeger

In April I finished this painting of a dear dog who has passed away. As ‘memories’ are a recurring theme in my work, I find joy in creating pieces that help others cherish their special bonds forever: and when I saw in a touching post that a fellow artist had lost his beloved dog, I really wanted to help. 

In a way, I try for my paintings to offer a sense of calm and solace, much like finding peace in nature, especially for those navigating difficult times or grief. 

I used a loose, expressive style to convey the dog’s energy and spirit. The green-blue background creates a striking contrast with the warm brown tones of his fur. 

It was an honour to create this tribute to such a special companion.
