My Abstract & Intuitive Paintings:
Finding Order in Chaos

When I paint abstractly, it’s about letting go and trusting my intuition. It’s a different style, but it’s driven by the same values as my other work: colorful, energetic, and layered. It’s all about bringing order to the chaos and creating a balanced composition.

These paintings are a break from the routine and the everyday. Instead of working from a photograph, I start with a feeling or an idea, letting the colors and shapes guide me. It’s an expressive and freeing process, resulting in a unique piece that captures pure energy and emotion.

How I Work

Just like my other paintings, each abstract piece begins with two base layers of colored gesso. From there, I work intuitively, letting the brushstrokes and layers build on each other. I start with mixed acrylic paints and then add multiple layers of water-soluble oil paint until the final result feels complete. I often experiment with different surfaces like canvas, wooden panels, or high-quality paper.
